Summary

A guide to the basics of Biofield Tuning, using tuning forks to clear trauma stored in the human energy field

• Provides a precise map of the energetic biofield that surrounds the body, showing where specific emotions, memories, traumas, and pain are stored

• Details how to locate stored trauma in the biofield with a tuning fork and clear it

• Winner of the 2015 Nautilus Silver Award

When Eileen McKusick began offering sound therapy in her massage practice she soon discovered she could use tuning forks to locate and hear disturbances in the energy field, or biofield, that surrounded each of her clients。 Passing the tuning forks through these areas in the biofield not only corrected the distorted vibrational sounds she was hearing but also imparted consistent, predictable, and sometimes immediate relief from pain, anxiety, insomnia, migraines, depression, fibromyalgia, digestive disorders, and a host of other complaints。 Now, more than 20 years later, McKusick has fully developed her sound healing method, which she calls Biofield Tuning, and created a map of the biofield, revealing the precise locations where specific emotions, memories, ailments, and traumas are stored。

In this book, McKusick explains the basics of Biofield Tuning practice and provides illustrations of her Biofield Anatomy Map。 She details how to use tuning forks to find and clear pain and trauma stored in the biofield and reveals how the traditional principles and locations of the chakras correspond directly with her biofield discoveries。 Exploring the science behind Biofield Tuning, she examines scientific research on the nature of sound and energy and explains how experiences of trauma produce “pathological oscillations” in the biofield, causing a breakdown of order, structure, and function in the body。

Offering a revolutionary perspective on mind, energy, memory, and trauma, McKusick’s guide to Biofield Tuning provides new avenues of healing for energy workers, massage therapists, sound healers, and those looking to overcome chronic illness and release the traumas of their past。

A great read。 The ability to locate disturbances in the energy field is paramount to the work of any healer worth their salt。 Eileen with her concept of biofield mapping tells you how to do it! A groundbreaking and well researched alternative medicine book。

The beginning of this book reads like a college paper with definitions of a lot of words and where she found certain information and how she then came to her own conclusions。 I understand why she included this as this appears to be new science, but it isn't really fun reading。 About halfway through, maybe further, it gets into what I thought I was going to read。 However, to be honest, without all the preamble and definitions and how she came to those conclusions, I am not sure that I would have The beginning of this book reads like a college paper with definitions of a lot of words and where she found certain information and how she then came to her own conclusions。 I understand why she included this as this appears to be new science, but it isn't really fun reading。 About halfway through, maybe further, it gets into what I thought I was going to read。 However, to be honest, without all the preamble and definitions and how she came to those conclusions, I am not sure that I would have been so open to what she says。 Her conclusions seem valid。 Plus, when I bought the book, I bought it as a set with a "sonic slider" tuning fork and watched a few videos on how to use it。 My wrinkles are fading and my swollen ankles have unswollen so much that I am down a shoe size。 Which goes back to, it makes sense and it works。 It sounds woowoo, but this works。 I would like to attend classes to learn how to use the whole set of tuning forks that she sells on her website。 I look 10 years younger, and I haven't finished reading the book yet。 What could happen? I am looking forward to finding out。 One thing that surprised me and that sticks with me。 She asks the question, why does science acknowledge that sound that we cannot hear can heal, but science does not acknowledge that sound that we can hear also can be healing and beneficial。 The tuning fork that came with the book is a very low sound, to me is almost sounds like humming, but lower than I could vocalize。 (I am a soprano。)And。。。 the first time I used the "slider" tuning fork my dog kept nudging my hand until I used it on him。 He likes it, too, and he is the most aware and intelligent dog I have ever met。 。。。more

Very easy to follow and instructional。 Looking forward to learn and try the Tuning forks I have。 Will add this to my bag of helpful ways to channel and redirect the energies we have in our bodies。

90% of this book was unnecessary。。。for me anyway。。。。and I got tired of her defining words for me, like the word “word”, no joke。 By the time I got to the last chapters on actually using the forks, I was over it。 I’m still interested in the subject and think it’s important, I’ll just find a different book for help。

I really dig this modality, I was introduced to it more than 5 years ago。 The book is a resource I reference along with Your Can Heal Your Life and The Secret Language of the Body - - all good tools when issues of the body and mind seem to be underlying and emotional。 I have also had brilliant results from distance Tunings using this method of healing。

Thoroughly handy for what it is; and hey, “if it exists, it vibrates”。 (Not even a quote from this book。。。my reviews are getting shoddier。)

Yeah, I。。。I honestly don't know how this book got published。 The first seven chapters are basically twaddle where she's trying to create a Unified Theory of Everything New Age, and there's like。。。one chapter on the actual work and how to do it。 Like。。it could have been a pamphlet。 But then of course she wouldn't make any money。 Bottom line: she has no idea how it works, all her clients are basically experiments, she creates a map of issues that relate to the chakras (this part was actually inter Yeah, I。。。I honestly don't know how this book got published。 The first seven chapters are basically twaddle where she's trying to create a Unified Theory of Everything New Age, and there's like。。。one chapter on the actual work and how to do it。 Like。。it could have been a pamphlet。 But then of course she wouldn't make any money。 Bottom line: she has no idea how it works, all her clients are basically experiments, she creates a map of issues that relate to the chakras (this part was actually interesting) and。。。that's it。 I honestly don't understand the purpose of this book。 Like。 One would think either it would be theory and science or it would be a sort of practice manual, after which one would feel somewhat confident to pick up some forks and try it。 While she states which forks she uses, she doesn't really specify which ones she uses at any given time (kind of the whole。。。thing?) especially since she doesn't use chakra tuned forks but prefers solfeggio tuned, which don't equate easily to chakras。 So best case scenario you get pumped because this seems cool, buy yourself a set of forks and start playing around。。。and basically you're reinventing the wheel because she doesn't give you a lot to go on。 (The thirty or so pages of 'testimonials' is hallmark of classic New Agey padding and adds nothing useful to one's knowledge)。 Worst case scenario, toward the end she remarks how exhausted she is after a treatment and has even given herself a repetitive stress injury from it which like。。。uh。。。so you could actually HARM yourself doing this? That's。 That's uncool。 I'd like someone who is professing to teach me something to at the very least teach me not to hurt myself while experimenting! Very disappointing。 。。。more

The curiosity, research, and openness to what is known as much as what is not known is refreshing in this book。 I appreciate that she does not try to explain everything via quantum fields as if it's a panacea and instead digs into what we can prove with instruments and what lies still within the realm of experience and results without printouts and measurements with math。 I found it well written, accessible, and informative。 Will be coming back to this writer again。 The curiosity, research, and openness to what is known as much as what is not known is refreshing in this book。 I appreciate that she does not try to explain everything via quantum fields as if it's a panacea and instead digs into what we can prove with instruments and what lies still within the realm of experience and results without printouts and measurements with math。 I found it well written, accessible, and informative。 Will be coming back to this writer again。 。。。more

Even though I was disappointed in the first chapters。。 things eventually changed。 Chapter 7 and 8 are the best, because they are the reason behind my excitement to read the book in the first place。 i didn't really grasp the idea of how to apply the sound healing technique for myself。。 It is fair to say though that I loved how genuine the writer is, her passion, her bravery to search and find answers then to speak her mind up just as is。 She is definitely inspiring。 Even though I was disappointed in the first chapters。。 things eventually changed。 Chapter 7 and 8 are the best, because they are the reason behind my excitement to read the book in the first place。 i didn't really grasp the idea of how to apply the sound healing technique for myself。。 It is fair to say though that I loved how genuine the writer is, her passion, her bravery to search and find answers then to speak her mind up just as is。 She is definitely inspiring。 。。。more

This book was a great introduction to vibrational healing through sound and the chakra system and the use of the tuning forks, what to look for and how to get started。 The explanation was very clear as well。

I enjoyed this book。 It is well written and the author has taken a scientific approach to developments in the field。 It is worth your consideration whichever stand point you are coming from。 The techniques are loosely described but enough information is given for people to begin to experiment with this potentiality。

Cara

Very helpful information。 I felt like it was hard to get into because it begins more like analyzing a dictionary with her defining words。 I see why she chose to start that way, but it was tedious to me。 I enjoyed the rest of the book though。

well it was rather technical for someone who never took chemistry or physics (the author didn't either but she learned it) so some parts I skimmed。 But having said that, the practical applications, subjective stories and how it all works was great。 I've had two sessions (before reading the book) so I'm majorly sold on the effects。 So much of energy medicine/healing is subtle and I'm left wondering if anything happened。 Not with the tuning forks。。。。no doubt in my mind。 So if you want to delve int well it was rather technical for someone who never took chemistry or physics (the author didn't either but she learned it) so some parts I skimmed。 But having said that, the practical applications, subjective stories and how it all works was great。 I've had two sessions (before reading the book) so I'm majorly sold on the effects。 So much of energy medicine/healing is subtle and I'm left wondering if anything happened。 Not with the tuning forks。。。。no doubt in my mind。 So if you want to delve into the why's and wherefores, this is the book for you。 I have no intention on being a practitioner so the parts on choosing and using the instruments didn't really apply to me but all in all she gives great advice and answers most questions I could conceive of。 I don't buy many books new but glad I did this one。 。。。more

Might be one of my favourite non-fiction books I've ever read。 Although I came across it by seaching for more information about the 'electrical universe'- theory, I found that, but way more than that: on the way the body works and on her revolutionary way of treating disease using her method。 It's a right-brain book written by a left-brained person。 She is currently writing her PhD on the material covered in the book, so I'm wondering what she will be writing in the future! It’s there, going back as far as the birth experience。 McKusick’s resonating tuning fork will respond audibly to any glitches in the field, but it also puts out a steady, coherent vibration。 That steady signal, combined with her trained senses and her client’s memories, can solve the mystery, realign the distorted field, and put the biofield back in order。 Lives change as a direct result。 Healing ensues immediately。 For those in the healing professions, I urge you to explore this new work。 For the rest of us, I hope McKusick will be able to train many practitioners to use her “click, drag, and drop” methods of rearranging life-event traumas in the biofield into the sweetly resonating, sleekly operating, singing energies of a coherent life。 Read this book if you want to learn how that can happen to you, then go out and seek the leaders in the field who can help you make it happen。 。。。more
